Muscat, Oman – On Sunday 11th December Al Bustan Palace Hotel in Muscat was abuzz with eager guests who gathered for the exclusive Ferrari Esperienza test drive event. Hosted by Alfardan Motors, the official importer of Ferrari in the Sultanate, distinguished guests and prospective owners were treated to a scrumptious brunch before reveling in the opportunity to experience the full power and handling of the acclaimed Ferrari 488 Spider & the newest model Ferrari GTC4Lusso, along one of Muscat’s a stunning mountain routes.
The experience commenced with a detailed briefing on vehicle performance, handling and innovation conducted by professional Ferrari instructors flown in from Maranello, Italy especially for the event. Following the briefing, guests were afforded the pleasure of partaking in the legendary Ferrari DNA experience, behind the wheel of three of the Prancing Horse’s finest models.
About the Ferrari 488 Spider
The Ferrari 488 Spider is the first RHT (Retractable Hard Top) introduced from Maranello on a car of this particular architecture, with engine throbs the 3902 cc turbo-charged V8 that debuted just a few months ago on the 488 GTB. Its performance levels are nothing short of extraordinary: a maximum power output of 670 CV combined with maximum torque of 760 Nm at 3000 rpm send the 488 Spider sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds flat and from 0 to 200 km/h in 8.7 seconds. This is also an exceptionally efficient engine as it is not only 100 CV more powerful than the previous naturally-aspirated V8 but also has lower CO2 emissions.
About the Ferrari GTC4Lusso
The GTC4Lusso is a new four-seater model that integrates rear-wheel steering with four-wheel drive for the first time, hailing another major advance for the versatile sporty Grand Tourer concept, Thanks to a 6,262cc V12 that punches out a maximum of 690 cv at a 8,000 rpm and peak torque of 697 Nm at 5,750 rpm, with 80% available at just 1,750 rpm, the GTC4Lusso delivers an astonishing top speed of 335 km/h and sprints from 0 to 100 km in 3.4 seconds. Both its 13.5:1 compression ratio and its 2.6 kg/cv weight-to-power-ratio set new records for the category.
